Stella Maris College operates a comprehensive sports program that provides students with the opportunity to challenge themselves physically and achieve their personal best. Physical fitness is integral to our students’ overall sense of wellbeing and confidence and research shows, directly enhances academic achievement. From students wishing to compete at the highest echelons, to those wanting to enjoy sport with their friends, all abilities are catered for.
Stella is blessed by its natural surrounds. A plethora of well-maintained community sporting facilities including fields, tennis courts and an aquatic centre are in easy walking distance from the College. Our students have access to beaches and Sydney Harbour to engage in water activities including sailing and surfing.
Sports are offered on a term or semester basis. Training is held before or after school with games generally held on week-day afternoons. Students may also represent the College at gala days and tournaments held during the school day. Stella offers a wide range of sports including;
