Stella Maris College awards General Excellence Scholarships each year. Scholarships are awarded from Years 7 and Year 10 based on high levels of academic achievement. Excellence in other areas, such as sport or performing arts, may support an application. Recipients must demonstrate alignment with the College’s guiding values and be willing to use their gifts for the benefit of the Stella Maris community.
Year 6 students are invited to apply for a Junior General Excellence Scholarship, offering full or part remission of the tuition fee for Years 7, 8 and 9, in the January of the year prior to entry. (Junior General Excellence Scholarships for Year 7 2027 have closed).

Applications are open to enrolled students commencing at Stella or external candidates. They are advertised in the January of the year prior to students entering Year 7. Parents of students enrolled at Stella will receive an email advising that the application process is open. External applicants are advised to check this webpage.
Testing is conducted at the College in February.
These scholarships (for full or part remission of the tuition fee) are awarded for Years 10, 11 and 12. They are open to internal applicants.
Applications open in Term 3 of each year. Applicants will sit a scholarship examination in Term 3 with shortlisted candidates invited to an interview. All successful applicants will be advised in Term 3. Further information, including the application link, will be provided via the College App.
Stella offers bursary assistance to families who are experiencing financial hardship. A limited number of bursaries are available to current families from Year 7 to Year 12 at an agreed percentage discount on school fees. They are awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial merit and/or need. The program is administered by the Finance Committee and the College Principal who will determine the value, number and duration of each bursary on an annual basis.
