Introducing our Principal

Stella Maris College is delighted to introduce Mrs Sharyn Quirk, the College’s 19th Principal.

Mrs Quirk assumed the role in January 2025 following the retirement of Mrs Elizabeth Carnegie after 10 years of dedicated leadership.

Mrs Quirk joins Stella from Brigidine College, Randwick where she has held the role of Principal for almost six years. She has had a distinguished career in Catholic girls’ education, holding assistant principal and senior leadership positions in curriculum and assessment, pastoral care and performing arts at St Clare’s College (ACT) and St Mary Mackillop College (ACT). She has held teaching positions at Waverley College (NSW), Santa Sabina College (NSW), Xavier College (VIC,) and St Francis Xavier High School (ACT).

Mrs Quirk holds a Master of Religious Education and a Bachelor of Music Education.
